EAT MOR CHIKIN

I have to say, when it comes to values in the US, I must have missed a ship sailing somewhere along the line.

Now, I do not want any governments, local, city, county, state or federal to do any real work.  None.  Don’t pay attention to debts or deficits, don’t pay attention to crime (Chicago),  don’t pay attention to urban blight……..don’t fuck with any of that stuff.  INSTEAD, I want governments to pay attention to the urgent, nay CRITICAL position of Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy on gay marriage.

Now, clearly the left has gone over the top about something that none of us give a shit about and as several have pointed out, have established a straw man argument, a “false narrative” about the seriousness of Dan Cathy’s views.  Now, I won’t re-hash what most of the informed know on this issue now; hell if you didn’t know better you would swear that the only two things happening in the world that mattered were the shooting in Aurora, CO and Dan Cathy’s views on traditional marriage.  And the latter is not a small thing, and I will explain my view on this.

The mayor of Chicago has stated that Chick-fil-A’s values are NOT Chicago values.  The mayor of Boston has vowed to keep the restaurant out of Boston. The city council of Philadelphia is taking up a resolution condemning Chick-fil-A for its’ “anti American attitudes that promote hatred and bigotry.”  And the mayor of San Francisco has expressed disappointment that Chick-fil-A does not share that city’s values.

Okay, let’s step back and get our collective acorn around this argument.  If you tell me, or others like me that my values are not the same as those of Chicago I would have to let out a sigh and say “thank the LORD.”  Imagine my relief that I do not share the values of almost unstoppable violence and corruption.  Imagine my relief that that I do not exist by feeding off of the taxes of the entire rest of the state of Illinois.  My point is that the mayor of Chicago is not insulting me, but rather praising me, by saying I do not share Chicago values.  As for Boston…..you people, or your leaders, are idiots.  In THIS economy you are going to forbid a business in your city because of the CEO’s personal beliefs?

Let me posit this.  The Billy Graham ministries have a rule among the staff.  Among the staff, one man and one woman, not married to one another, shall not be alone in a room together.  Now, I wouldn’t have ever thought of instilling that rule among my staff, but it certainly makes sense to me, and frankly, I would probably be far better off today if I had observed similar rules earlier in life.  You will notice that the Billy Graham program is relatively scandal free, and NOBODY has pointed a finger at them accusing them of promoting hatred and bigotry.  What’s the difference between the BG ministries position and that of Dan Cathy?  Hell, if anything, among the BG Ministries, that is the OFFICIAL position, and Dan Cathy was merely expressing his OPINION.  On Philadelphia; it is a large, illogical leap of the mind to believe that the CEO’s opinion, his personal opinion, fosters hatred and bigotry and somehow denies people their rights. Were it not for the leftist media that argument would collapse……promptly, because it makes no sense.  San Francisco?  Who gives a shit if the mayor is offended because the values of the CEO, not the store, but the CEO, are not those of the shining, gay city by the bay.  My values are not those of San Francisco, will the mayor express umbrage if I chose to move there?  To work there?

Now, my opinion, and my opinion ONLY.  For Chick-fil-A, this too shall pass; I am not worried about the nations’ leading chicken sandwich maker; they will be fine.  And the reason that they will be fine is that the mayors of Chicago, Boston, San Francisco and the council of Philadelphia are all…..WRONG.  For most Americans you do not make a good argument by staking out a position that traditional marriage is not in keeping with established values.  I know a lot of married people, I know some that are married and divorced, remarried and remain married, and all of them are heterosexual marriages.  I know no married, gay couples; I don’t give a shit, I just do not know any. And I’ll be honest…..I look at San Fran, which is so fucked up financially and politically, Boston, a bastion of the left, Chicago, the model for Gotham City, and Philly, where the city actually dropped a bomb on a city block to oust racial radicals, and I have to compare their values to my own.  I don’t think I come out looking so poorly.

The BIG problem is not that those people in leadership have those opinions, because everyone of them are far left libfucks, intent on destroying the nation as we know it, so we expect them to have those opinions.  The BIG problem is that we have allowed these idiots to get into leadership positions and that now they are dictating what our “values” are to be.  There is a reason that most states reject gay marriage when the issue is put to the voters; because that is not keeping with the people’s values.  And it is as simple as that.

I do not approve of gay marriage.  My opinion does not foster hate or bigotry……it is my opinion.  The left refuses to accept that.  And it actually boggles my mind that a political thought process that fought equal rights for minorities for over a century, has now taken up this banner for a distinct minority.

Now, one last issue and I SWEAR I will let go of the Chick-fil-A thing.  The CEO of Amazon.com just gave $2 million to the nation’s largest gay marriage advocacy group (who knew that there was such a thing?).  Other than one article doing straight reportage, you haven’t heard a peep from the media or conservatives.

Because we do not give a shit.

The left can try to define our values all that it wants……but that doesn’t make them our values…….it makes them THEIR values…..and continues to show that the left is the part of the population that is out of step with the rest of America.

H/T to my friend BATMAN on Multiply.com who gave me permission to post this here, because I could not have said it better myself!

IT'S A MIRACLE!

DO AS I SAY, AND NOT AS I DO

From Raleigh’s N&O – Thursday – FRONT PAGE, no less - an amazingly fair article, considering this paper is a Democrat rag.

WASHINGTON -- Rep. Nancy Pelosi was emphatic. Mitt Romney’s refusal to release more than two years of his personal tax returns, she said, makes him unfit to win confirmation as a member of the president’s Cabinet, let alone to hold the high office himself.
Sen. Harry Reid went further: Romney’s refusal to make public more of his tax records makes him unfit to be a dogcatcher.  [Noooo – the Dems don’t slander folks!]
They do not, however, think that standard of transparency should apply to them. The Democratic leaders of the Senate and the House of Representatives are among hundreds of senators and representatives from both parties who refused to release their tax records.  Just 17 out of the 535 members of Congress released their most recent tax forms or provided some similar documentation of their tax liabilities in response to requests from McClatchy Newspapers over the last three months.

SoOutloud.com emerged from his desire to just say it! Too often, the ever oxymoronic state of political correctness, prevents people from saying what they’re thinking–even when they have the truth to back it all up. As someone who is as black as Obama, he (unlike the President) values racial reconciliation and harmony, very limited government, free speech, free markets, and human rights for the most defenseless among us (the unborn). Ryan doesn’t rely upon political solutions for most social ailments; that gives too much credit and power to politicians. People need to be engaged on all levels…in their families, their communities, their churches and civic organizations, their schools, and their government.

JOE PATERNO.... I'M SO SORRY YOU DIED

I’m sorry you died, Joe, and missed the scathing report that came out today by former FBI chief Louie Freeh, about how YOU covered for the child rapist Jerry Sanduski, so Penn State would avoid negative publicity.  I’m sorry you didn’t live to go to prison and be raped daily in a tiny cell, with no one there to answer your pleas for help.

I’m sorry you died while people thought you were a decent human being, died before they knew you were a steaming pile of shit, thinking only of your legacy while the perv Sandusky ran a charity for troubled boys….. a smorgas board for him to select his victims.

I’m sorry you died without looking into the eyes of the (now) young adults you betrayed for your own selfish reasons.  I so very much wish you were alive so they could spit in your face.  You are a scum bag, and you betrayed these young men and allowed Sandusky to steal their innocence,  knew they were being molested under your watch with your tacit approval.  Calling you a piece of shit is too generous.  You were a disgusting bottom feeder, lacking any scrap of humanity.  I’m sorry you died before you could see how disgusted people are of you and your actions.

I’m sorry you were alive long enough for you to know Penn State held a public memorial for you.  I’m sorry you died because you deserve to have to live with the knowledge of your fall from grace.

And to your ally in this filthy scheme – Mike McQueary – who caught Sandusky in the act of raping a child in the shower.  How do you close your eyes at night Mike?  Do you see this scene over and over when you lay your head down?  For the love of God – why did you not instantly bury your fist in Sandusky’s face so deeply that he would never have breathed thru his nose again?  Why didn’t you take that child by the hand and the two of you go straight to the police station?  You are a piece of shit and I hope you roast in hell with Paterno.

Yes - I’m sorry you died, Joepa…. But you are surely in hell.  May your soul never know a moment’s peace throughout all eternity.

AMERICA IS NOT THE GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD ANY MORE.....

ODDS ARE.....

From Townhall Alerts – Wayne Allyn Root
I got this in an email alert and I found IT really interesting.  It actually gives me a little bit of hope for November…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Most political predictions are made by biased pollsters, pundits, or prognosticators who are either rooting for Republicans or Democrats. I am neither.  I am a former Libertarian Vice-Presidential nominee, and a well-known Vegas odds-maker with one of the most accurate records of predicting political races.
But as an odds-maker with a pretty remarkable track record of picking political races, I play no favorites. I simply use common sense to call them as I see them. Back in late December I released my New Year’s predictions. I predicted back then - before a single GOP primary had been held, with Romney trailing for months to almost every GOP competitor from Rick Perry to Herman Cain to Newt - that Romney would easily rout his competition to win the GOP nomination by a landslide. I also predicted that the Presidential race between Obama and Romney would be very close until election- day.  But that on election-day Romney would win by a landslide similar to Reagan-Carter in 1980.
Understanding history, today I am even more convinced of a resounding Romney victory. 32 years ago at this moment in time, Reagan was losing by 9 points to Carter. Romney is right now running even in polls. So why do most pollsters give Obama the edge?
First, most pollsters are missing one ingredient - common sense. Here is my gut instinct. Not one American who voted for McCain 4 years ago will switch to Obama. Not one in all the land. But many millions of people who voted for an unknown Obama 4 years ago are angry, disillusioned, turned off, or scared about the future. Voters know Obama now- and that is a bad harbinger.
Now to an analysis of the voting blocks that matter in U.S. politics:
*Black voters. Obama has nowhere to go but down among this group. His endorsement of gay marriage has alienated many black church-going Christians. He may get 88% of their vote instead of the 96% he got in 2008. This is not good news for Obama.
*Hispanic voters. Obama has nowhere to go but down among this group. If Romney picks Rubio as his VP running-mate the GOP may pick up an extra 10% to 15% of Hispanic voters (plus lock down Florida ). This is not good news for Obama.
*Jewish voters. Obama has been weak in his support of Israel . Many Jewish voters and big donors are angry and disappointed. I predict Obama's Jewish support drops from 78% in 2008 to the low 60’s. This is not good news for Obama.
*Youth voters. Obama’s biggest and most enthusiastic believers from 4 years ago have graduated into a job market from hell. Young people are disillusioned, frightened, and broke- a bad combination. The enthusiasm is long gone. Turnout will be much lower among young voters, as will actual voting percentages. This is not good news for Obama.
*Catholic voters. Obama won a majority of Catholics in 2008. That won’t happen again. Out of desperation to please women, Obama went to war with the Catholic Church over contraception. Now he is being sued by the Catholic Church. Majority lost. This is not good news for Obama.
*Small Business owners.  Because I ran for Vice President last time around, and I'm a small businessman myself, I know literally thousands of small business owners. At least 40% of them in my circle of friends, fans and supporters voted for Obama 4 years ago to “give someone different a chance.” I warned them that he would pursue a war on capitalism and demonize anyone who owned a business...that he’d support unions over the private sector in a big way...that he'd overwhelm the economy with spending and debt. My friends didn’t listen. Four years later, I can't find one person in my circle of small business owner friends voting for Obama. Not one. This is not good news for Obama.
*Blue collar working class whites. Do I need to say a thing? White working class voters are about as happy with Obama as Boston Red Sox fans feel about the New York Yankees. This is not good news for Obama.
*Suburban moms. The issue isn’t contraception…it’s having a job to pay for contraception. Obama’s economy frightens these moms. They are worried about putting food on the table. They fear for their children’s future. This is not good news for Obama.
*Military Veterans. McCain won this group by 10 points. Romney is winning by 24 points. The more our military vets got to see of Obama, the more they disliked him. This is not good news for Obama.
Add it up. Is there one major group where Obama has gained since 2008? Will anyone in America wake up on election day saying “I didn’t vote for Obama 4 years ago. But he’s done such a fantastic job, I can’t wait to vote for him today.” Does anyone feel that a vote for Obama makes their job more secure?
Forget the polls. My gut instincts as a Vegas odds-maker and common sense small businessman tell me this will be a historic landslide and a world-class repudiation of Obama’s radical and risky socialist agenda. It's Reagan-Carter all over again.
But I’ll give Obama credit for one thing - he is living proof that familiarity breeds contempt.
GET ON THE BUS!
In another attempt to reduce government spending and to jump start the economy, the Obama Administration will announce next week that the Immigration Department will start deporting seniors (instead of illegals) in order to lower Social Security and Medicare costs.  Older people are easier to catch and will not remember how to get back home.
WANNA PROTEST IN CHARLOTTE AT THE DEM CONVENTION? GET IN LINE! I MEAN - APPLY WITHIN.....
The city of Charlotte launched an online application process in June for groups and individuals wanting to stage protests during the Democratic National Convention.
The city conducted a lottery on July 2 to assign times for the three days of the DNC, from Sept. 4-6, for the use of two designated staging areas for DNC protesters: a parade route and a speakers' platform.
As an aside....Rep. Larry Kissell (D, NC-8) has said he will miss the convention this year.  He plans to NOT endorse Obama AND he voted to hold Holder in contempt.  Three cheers for a genuine BLUE-DOG CONSERVATIVE DEMOCRAT...... whose district includes Charlotte, and who lives about a mile from the convention site.  BWAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHA
