CHIP... CHIP.... CHIP....

Here’s a little bill that’s passed both houses of our beloved Congress that you may have missed.  Just a wee encroachment on our freedom of speech.  Surprise!  Surprise!

This Act may be cited as the ‘‘Federal Restricted Buildings and Grounds Improvement Act of 2011’’.  [ed. Note:  ROFLMAO!]

The short and sweet of this is – it’s now illegal to protest where it matters!  Seems our elected officials don’t want us anywhere nearby, and they’re willing to institute fines and/or imprisonment to keep us away.

According to the ACLU, H.R. 347 doesn't create any new crimes, or directly apply to the Occupy protests.  The bill slightly rewrites a short trespass law, originally passed in 1971 and amended a couple of times since, that covers areas subject to heightened Secret Service security measures.

OWS should have O’d the White House and Congress when they had the chance!
