THE RELIGION OF PEACE STRIKES AGAIN...

On Christmas morning [yep - CHRISTMAS] a MUSLIM father [yep - MUSLIM], apparently not pleased that his daughter was dating an infidel, opened fire on his entire family, killing 6 before turning the gun on himself.

NOWHERE in the mainstream media coverage of this tragedy do you find the word 'Muslim' used. Even the Al Jazeera News failed to mention the family was of the Islamic faith.  Much of the initial coverage simply implied the family had financial problems.

A CBS news update today never mentioned the shooter's ethnicity.... CBS says Santa was upset by his wife's success.... oh yeah - that's a great reason to mow down the family.

How's THAT for unbiased news coverage, people?  How much longer are we going to ignore the frigging ELEPHANT in the room?  Or the one in our nation????

WHY ARE WE LETTING THE BAD GUYS MAKE OUR RULES….

A post by a friend started me thinking [scary, huh?]  These are my ramblings – a few facts and some cathartic ranting before the end of the year.

In the Revolutionary War, we didn’t play by the rules.  We didn’t put on matching outfits, line up, and march to music to confront our enemies.  We used guerilla tactics, non-traditional plans, like Washington’s crossing of the Delaware on Christmas Day – we fought to win against the British, and we did.

In 1941, we were attacked and drawn into WWll – we had a no holds [I always thought it was ‘holes’] barred strategy - we bombed German cities, bombed Tokyo, Nagasaki, Hiroshima – and we defeated our enemies.  We played to win, and we won.

On to Korea – there, we said we wouldn’t cross the 38th parallel and we got a stalemate, and have HAD one since 1953.  We didn’t play to win.

In Viet Nam, we again didn’t play to win.  Our military was forbidden crossing into adjacent countries, even though there were NVA there.  We refused to bomb many sites that harbored enemy soldiers.  We ran a limited, losing military ‘conflict’, and we lost.

Terrorists attacked us in our homeland in 2001, destroying twin towers and killing 3000+ Americans.  A multi-national force attacked Afghanistan with politically correct rules.  We took prisoners and sent them to GTMO.  We provide them with Korans and prayer rugs; we handle their food with gloves.  They are well fed and given the best medical care around.  They cannot be made uncomfortable, let alone questioned under threat of torture.  We are fighting this war with our hands tied behind our back – And now we are bowing to religious tradition IN OUR MILITARY by letting Muslims ON ACTIVE DUTY IN THE MILITARY wear their traditional religious headwear.  [As my friend said – UNIT comes from the Latin word ‘unus’, meaning ONE – it’s called a UNIT for a reason – it lives, breathes, works and kills as one.]

Nidal Hassan killed 19 at Ft. Hood – NOT WORKPLACE VIOLENCE.  Hasan Akbar killed two military officers in 2003 by tossing 4 grenades into their tent.  This was NOT WORKPLACE VIOLENCE.  Chinese American James Yee, an Army chaplain assigned to ‘minister’ the GTMO Muslim detainees was accused of being a conduit between the prisoners and Al Qaeda. [The charges – SEDITION, AIDING THE ENEMY, SPYING, ESPIONAGE AND FAILURE TO OBEY ORDERS - were dropped BECAUSE RELEASING THE EVIDENCE AGAINST HIM WOULD HAVE BEEN A NATIONAL SECURITY PROBLEM‼‼]

Muslims are now permitted to wear their religious headwear as PART of their uniform.  What next?  Thongs and spike heels for the GLBT crowd?

In conclusion [finally]...

POINT 1:  We no longer fight to win because the politicians have determined ‘we won’t be loved around the world’ if we aren’t politically correct!  The purpose of the military is to kill people and break things.  What part of that is so difficult to understand?

POINT 2:  The United States Military SHOULD NOT BE A CRUCIBLE FOR SOCIAL ENGINEERING!  People who enter our military KNOW WHAT IT IS and by opting to join, they should be forced to follow the RULES OF THE MILITARY.  We should not be making concessions to any military members because of their race, sex, SEXUAL PREFERENCE or RELIGION‼!

Period – end of discussion.

SPEAKING OF TITS.....

And he's looking at Obama's..... ummmm

Before his most recent dinner outing, Obama hit the links, spending nearly seven hours at the Ko’olau Golf Club with Mike Ramos, Greg Orme and long-time friend Robert Titcomb, who earlier this year plead no contest to soliciting a prostitute in Honolulu.

From 4/6/11 – Huffington Post

HONOLULU -- One of President Barack Obama's close friends has been arrested in Honolulu on suspicion of soliciting a prostitute.

Honolulu police say Robert "Bobby" Titcomb was one of four men arrested in an undercover sting operation late Monday and released on $500 bail.

The 49-year-old Titcomb attended Punahou School in Honolulu with Obama. The two often golf, play basketball, go to the beach and dine together when the president returns home to Hawaii for vacation.  The 49-year-old pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge.  The Prosecutor’s office says because he stayed out of trouble for six months, the conviction has been expunged.

GENERAL PATRAEUS FOR PRESIDENT?

USA TODAY HEADLINE:  Petraeus almost quit over Obama drawdown in Afghanistan
Photo from Getty Images

Would everyone who thinks Obama appointed Petraeus head of the CIA to preclude him running for president, please raise your hand.   Obummer is nothing if not diabolical.

A new book due out in January [All In: The Education of General David Petraeus] describes Petraeus' frustration at still being labeled an outsider from the Obama administration, even as he retired from the military at Obama's request before taking the job last summer as the CIA's 20th director. ... It also is peppered with Petraeus quotes that sound like olive branches meant to soothe Obama aides who feared Petraeus would challenge their boss for the White House.

The general accepted a cut in authority and pay to lead the Afghanistan war campaign when Gen. Stanley McChrystal was forced to resign.

The fact that Patraeus did NOT resign in protest to Obama’s totally stupid military political decision to draw down in Afghanistan suggests to me, at least, that he has no more principles than Colin Powell…. Makes me wonder what we are ‘breeding’ in our new, GLBT friendly military.

In 1977, Carter fired Major Gen. John K. Singlaub as chief of staff of U.S. forces in South Korea after Singlaub publicly criticized Carter's decision to withdraw troops from the peninsula, saying it could lead to war. Singlaub knew Carter would have no choice but to fire him for comments bordering insubordination, but he was a man of principle for speaking his mind and taking his punishment - you can't say that about Powell and Petraeus

NOTES FROM THE BACK PAGE...

Congress closed out 2011 WITHOUT extending the 30-year old ethanol subsidy.   The REQUIREMENT for blended fuels is still in place.  At the same time, Congress cancelled a tariff on ethanol imported from Brazil. This opens the tap for a source of ethanol that doesn't have the reputation of being a dirty diversion of a food crop that corn-based ethanol carries. It also means that while the blenders' tax credit is no more, the 2007 legislation calling for a significant increase in the use of renewable fuels is likely not going anywhere if the abundant ethanol produced from Brazil's sugarcane economy can be used instead.  As an aside – the corn lobby isn’t thrilled!  However, cancelling the subsidy will give Obama another $6 Billion to pour into alternative fuel research (read that as:  pick winners and losers)

Another pearl of wisdom on fuel consumption is this.

N.C. is raising the state fuel tax the first of the year by 8 cents a gallon because….. the price of gas has been so high that people have cut back on driving, preventing the state from collecting the necessary taxes on gasoline that their bloated budget requires.  Did you follow that?  Raise gas price è conservation è less gas bought è fewer taxes collected è gotta raise taxes.  Got it --- makes sense?  The city of Raleigh did the same thing a few years back during a ‘drought’ -  they raised the price of water to encourage conservation – and the citizens complied – and the city’s revenue dropped like a stone – so they had to raise water prices.

When will these idiots learn that raising taxes does NOT generate revenue.

It’s the SPENDING, STUPID!

BEND OVER, AMERICA!

The United States reaches its current debt limit on Friday.  Guess what Obama wants for the New Year!  ANOTHER $1.2 TRILLION.  And after the complete pummeling of the House of Representatives by Obama the week before Christmas, Boehner and the rest are still holding their ankles!  Hopefully all the Republicans got knee pads for Christmas.

Under the new budget, Congress can only vote to block the debt-ceiling extension with a disapproval resolution. Lawmakers have 15 days within receiving the request to vote down the debt limit increase.

The debt limit currently stands at $15.194 trillion and would increase to $16.394 trillion with the request.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Hope it’s good for YOU too!

NO WONDER THE UNITED STATES POSTAL SERVICE IS GOING BROKE!

Here's the new Obama stamp!

The Postal Services created a stamp with a picture of President Obama on it. The Postal Service noticed that the stamp was not sticking to envelopes. This enraged the President, who demanded a full investigation. After a month of testing and $1.73 million in congressional spending, a special Presidential commission presented the following findings:

1. The stamp is in perfect order.

2. There is nothing wrong with the glue.

3. People are just spitting on the wrong side.

IT'S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

This is NOT the Griswold family vacation!

The President and his family are traveling SEPARATELY to Hawaii because he wants to resolve the payroll tax cut issue before leaving Washington – and his wife does not want to wait. [Grab cake – get ready to eat!]

Her advanced trip and the cost that comes with it – as much as $100,000 (flight and security) – adds to an already expensive vacation for the taxpayers.

TRAVEL FOR A.F. ONE: $3,651,626 (MICHELLE’S PLANE IS AN ADDITIONAL $100,000 – SHE DOESN’T WANT TO WAIT)

The biggest expense is President Barack Obama’s round trip flight to Hawaii.

The U.S. Air Force provides the most current numbers of $181,757 per flight hour. Travel time for Air Force One direct from Washington D.C. to Hawaii is about 9 hours or $1,635,813 each way for a total of $3,271,622 for the round trip to Hawaii and back.

The cost for USAF C-17 CARGO aircraft that transports the Presidential limos, helicopters and other support equipment is not available to the public. However, the flight time between Andrews Air Force Base and Hawaii is at about 20 hours roundtrip, with estimated operating cost of $7,000 per hour (GAO report) for a total of $140,000 per roundtrip. The United States Marine Corps provides a presidential helicopter, along with pilots and support crews for the test flights, which travel on another C-17 flight at $140,000 for a total of $280,000.

Mrs. Obama’s early flight to Hawaii costs about $63,000 (White House Dossier), but add security and personnel for a total of about $100,000.

HOUSING FOR SS, COAST GUARD, NAVY SEALS TO PROTECT THE ROYAL FIRST FAMILY: $151,200 (7 HOUSES @ $1200/DAY/HOUSE – meals not included)

The taxpayers must cover the costs for housing  U.S. Secret Service, U.S. Coast Guard and Navy Seals in beach front and canal front homes in Kailua. [Nice rentals, eh taxpayers?]

That costs about $1,200 a day ($200 allocated per bedroom per day). Since security arrives one day early, homes are rented for 18 days.
That is about $21,600 per home for approximately 7 houses rented at a total cost of $151,200 for security to stay nearby.

HOTEL ROOMS FOR STAFF: $72,216 ($3,009/PERSON x staff of 24)

Moana Surfrider Resort [This ain't no Motel 6, Alice!]

The President’s staff and White House Press Corps stay at one of Hawaii’s oldest and MOST ELEGANT hotels, the Moana Surfrider. Hawaii Reporter confirmed they are again staying there this year. Besides its stunningly beautiful view of Waikiki, and its traditional architecture, it is one of the most pricey hotels in the state.

Government rates are $177 per night, but that only is available during certain times a year.

Rooms typically start at $250 but can cost on average as much as $450 a night, and are even higher during the holidays.  A hotel spokesperson did not return calls to confirm the rate the White House received.

A conservative estimate with rooms at the government rate of $177 per day (excluding a 9.25 percent Transient Accommodation Tax and a 4.712 percent General Excise Tax on each bill, meals, internet charges and other charges) means the taxpayers are covering more than $72,216 in hotel bills for an estimated 24 staff.

LOCAL TAXPAYER COSTS: $260,000 ($15,294/DAY)

Local police over time for the president’s visit has historically cost Oahu taxpayers $250,000 but may be more expensive this year with the extended vacation.

The city ambulance the accompanies the president 24 hours a day through his entire visit is $10,000, according to city spokeswoman Louise Kim McCoy.

Hawaii Reporter annually has requested details on the cost of the President’s trip, but the White House will not release any figures, citing security concerns

BRADLEY MANNING HAS COURT APPEARANCE

FORT MEADE, Md. -- A hearing TO DETERMINE WHETHER ARMY PFC BRADLEY MANNING SHOULD FACE CHARGES …….of illegally releasing thousands of classified U.S. military documents opened Friday with the defense questioning the presiding officer’s objectivity.
SHOULD FACE CHARGES?  YOU HAVE GOT TO FRIGGING KIDDING ME!

The guy is a spy against the United Stated!  Please tell me why there is ANY QUESTION about him ‘facing charges’.  His ass needs to be tried, convicted, and summarily put before a firing squad!  This would go a long way in preventing a repeat performance by other traitors.

It’s time for ‘bradass87’ to be put out of his misery!

THE LAST, LAST IOWA DEBATE: 12-15-11

If you think of what Newt accomplished in his career in the House, and it WAS a very conservative career and he DID have to work with a Dem in the White House – it was amazing.  It was only when he really tried to make some huge changes – like privatizing Social Security – that he ran aground.  It truly pisses me off that all the republicans he dragged into office in 1994 are turning against him.  As for his position on the judges – there should be no lifetime appointments, even at SCOTUS – I would like to see a judge appointed for 9 years, and every year ONE would come up for re-confirmation.  At the lower levels, judges should be elected.  As for Newt’s time as a consultant with Freddie Mac… Newt is a product of his own marketing – he had a consulting COMPANY and he negotiated with FM for his SERVICES and the services of his company – and he was PAID for his services.  The fact that FM was a GSE is immaterial – FM was free to negotiate and they did, and Newt was the beneficiary because of his reputation.  Free market exchange of goods and services – a willing seller and a willing buyer.  If you want to blame anyone, blame Chris Dodd and Barney Frank who saw to it that FM operated without regulation and could MAKE this sort of deal with a consultant.

I won’t waste ink on Huntsman.

Romney is NOT a conservative and I fear he’s not aggressive enough to take it to Obama.  And at Bain, he led the buying of companies that had problems – broke them into sub-companies, sold what could be sold for huge profits, and shut down what couldn’t be sold and sent the employees packing.  That’s not creating jobs IMHO – but again, it’s the free market.

Santorum was far less arrogant and dismissive than in some of the previous debates.  He answered all the questions he was given in a very direct manner. I'm still surprised that he hasn't done better in the polls. I think his lack of any type of executive experience is hurting him. I very much respect his stance on family values and the role of family in putting our country back on the right track.

Bachmann – this is her record, the one she continually touts:
Despite Bachmann's early success in the presidential polls, her congressional record is composed almost entirely of confusion and failure. She's authored bills that not a single other lawmaker will cosponsor; she's sponsored the exact same failing bills over and over again; she's entered bills on obscure or trivial topics.  Some are probably well-meaning, such as those relating to foster children or adoption services. Others seem downright awful, like the Emergency Energy Cut the Red Tape Now Act of 2008, which would allow pretty much anyone to start blowing up national parks to look for oil or natural gas.  Of the 46 sponsored bills to her name -- only two of which have actually passed the U.S. House.  [Source:  City Pages, 401 N. 3rd St. Suite 550, Minneapolis, MN 55401]
She’s also made tiny, stupid mistakes that make her seem scatterbrained.  I don’t doubt that she’s conservative – she’s just unqualified.

I don’t think Perry had a very good debate – I liked his idea of a part-time Congress but that ain’t his call and it ain’t gonna happen.  He lacks substance, but he would be fun to hang out with ‘cause he’s a good ole boy.

Ron Paul – he had his foil had on last night and the one good thing Bachmann did was nail his ass on Iran.  Ron Paul will be 77 before the 2012 elections.  In my mind, that disqualifies him.  Reagan was 69 when he became president – and Ron Paul is no Ronald Reagan.

I still think Newt is our best shot at taking the White House.

Romney couldn’t even beat McCain!  How can he beat Obama?

ABC CANCELLED 'REVENGE' FOR THIS?????

Apparently Barbara Walters had a 90 minute (OMG!) show last night on her 10 most interesting people of 2011.... IMHO - if this crowd is the best she could come up with, we are in deep shit defining 'interesting'.  No wonder I only watch sports and FNC!  (And I had no IDEA that ABC had a show with a gay couple!!!  WTF!)

10-9-8: Kim, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian: They marry, procreate and Tweet for money. Their total and complete lack of personality is kind of fascinating, we guess.

7: Simon Cowell: One of the world's most successful music executives. Wears tight t-shirts. Speaks his mind.

6: Derek Jeter: Perhaps the most boring, least fascinating athlete on the planet. He plays very hard, is respectful of the game and, by all accounts, is a very nice guy. Does any of that make him an especially interesting individual?

5: Donald Trump: Okay, his hair is pretty fascinating.

4: Katy Perry: She sings fun pop ballads and wears weird outfits. Is anyone fascinated by the artist herself? Or do you just wanna bop around to "Last Friday Night?"

3: Pippa Middleton: Acceptable. The public is clearly fascinated by her and for good reason. Total cutie alert!

2: Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson: They are actors who portray a gay couple. How fascinating, right?!? Think it's a coincidence they also star on an ABC show?

1:  I have no idea because I didn't watch.  But based on 2-10, I would rather be reading Time Magazine's cover story on their Person(s) of the Year!

SURGE IN HANDGUN OWNERSHIP – ARE YOU SITTING DOWN? LARGEST INCREASE AMONG WOMEN AND DEMOCRATS!

Excerpts from Bloomberg News, Ken Wells…. This is a fascinating article.

“A gun is like a fire extinguisher… It isn’t there because you want to have a fire or expect to have a fire.”

Gun advocacy is on the increase.  Besides Students for Concealed Carry, there are the Pink Pistols, Mothers Arms, Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, the Second Amendment Sisters, the Women’s Firearm Network and the International Defensive Pistol Association, among others. Their influence may be outsized in gaining converts as they set up Facebook pages, churn out blogs and post recruiting videos on YouTube.

…The surge has been propelled by shifting politics and demographics that have made it easier and more acceptable than at any time in 75 years for Americans to buy and carry pistols. Post-9/11 fears also seem to be a factor, as has been the relentless pro-gun politicking of the National Rifle Association and marketing, particularly to women, by handgun manufacturers.

Twenty years ago, 76 percent of women [said they would never own a handgun], and 68 percent of all people in the country were wary enough of firearms of any kind to tell Gallup pollsters that they backed laws more strictly limiting their sale. Then what Gallup calls “a clear societal change” began.

In October, a Gallup poll found record-low support for a handgun ban -- at 26 percent among all, and 31 percent among women. The poll, which has tracked gun attitudes since 1959, documented a record-low 43 percent who favor making it more difficult to acquire guns and record-high numbers of women and Democrats saying there is a firearm at home. Forty-seven percent said someone in the household owns at least one gun, the highest reading in 18 years.

The growing acceptance of guns echoes a transformation in the politics of weapons. In 1987, Florida joined a handful of states that by law or tradition allowed people to carry hidden guns; now Illinois is the sole conceal-carry holdout, and the U.S. House of Representatives on Nov. 16 sent to the Senate a bill advocated by the NRA that would require those that issue concealed gun permits to recognize licenses from other states… The conceal-carry movement has gained momentum, in part because the dire predictions of anti-gun groups in the early years of the fight -- that carriers of hidden guns would deploy them to settle disputes over road rage and the like -- haven’t materialized.

[Ed. note:  Obama won't come for the guns - he'll come for the bullets]

OBAMA TO CUT MEXICAN BORDER GUARDS BY HALF - TO SAVE $$$

Citing budget cuts, the Obama administration early next year will cut the number of National Guard troops patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border by at least half, according to a congressman who was briefed on the plan.

Ummmmm – I missed the part where the President controls the STATE National Guard units, except when they are called up to active duty in time of war…. Help me out here.  OH WAIT!  Obama needs more undocumented DEMOCRATS before next November!  Got it!

Income inequality is NOT the defining issue of our time!  The left is nuttier than squirrel shit!  America is about EQUAL OPPORTUNITY!  Communism is about EQUAL OUTCOME!

GOD'S QUARTERBACK!

Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos, down 10-0 with minutes to go in the 4th quarter, came from behind to tie the game with a 59 yard field goal, and went on to defeat the Chicago Bears 13-10 in overtime! Tebow has been roundly criticized for praying on the sidelines and ridiculed for being a man of faith. God is good.

RUNNING COMMENTARY ON THE DEBATE TONIGHT [12/10/11]

Newt has had the sound bite of the debate  right at the starting line. After listening to Romney talk about being in the private sector and listening to Romney call him a career politician over and over and over, Newt told Romney - YOU'D BE A CAREER POLITICIAN TODAY IF YOU HADN'T LOST TO TED KENNEDY IN 1994! ROFLMAO!

The first question to start the second round (after the commercials) had to do with marriage and fidelity - ABC is out to get Newt - making no bones about it.  Bachmann gave a great answer, referring to the founders' vision of who would be a good leader.  Newt gave an honest and direct answer.  Hopefully this has been put to bed.

I think Diane Sawyer's drunk...... or on something.  Her questions are totally inane and the way she's presenting them is dopey as hell.  Her opening question had to do with a NUMBER of how many jobs each candidate would create - and she kept pressing for numbers - I mean - WHO KNOWS what will work and how many jobs would be created.  Now she's asking how many illegal immigrants each would let stay............. she must be into numerology!

George Stephy is asking about Newt's comment about Palestinians being a made up people.... Paul says Newt is technically correct - then he went off on his foreign policy tangent.  NEWT SHOT STEPHY DOWN BAD!  WHAT AN ANSWER!  Game - set - match - and APPLAUSE!  Mitt is rambling... and Diane Sawyer is drunk!

The next few questions were pretty lame..... have you (each candidate) every had to pinch pennies, cut back on expenses.... I assume they wanted to know if the candidates could relate to the middle class....  next they were asked to expand on their government healthcare positions.... answers were reruns of prior debates........ basically a waste of that segment.  I'm more fascinated watching Diane Sawyer and waiting for her to fall out of her chair or flop across the desk - does she have some medical problems I'm not aware of?

My complete feeling on this debate is that it was ABC’s attempt to take out Gingrich.  I think Santorum was strong with all of his answers.  Perry was just sorta ‘there’ but didn’t do his candidacy any good.  Paul had a great showing tonight – his only weakness is his total lack of foreign policy awareness – what he advocates is impossible to achieve.  Bachmann was strong, kept repeating her key notes.  I thought Romney was petulant and off-message, but he got in all his vanilla points.  Newt started out on the defensive , because he was under attack from the first question, but he didn't stay there long.  He kept smiling and poking fun but got in his shots.  He showed grace and humor.  Closing comments were excellent!

The candidates all won – ABC was the loser.  Blatantly partisan.  Anyone who’s surprised by that please raise your hand.

One nice thing was they showed the spouses....... that was a first.

Romney may have made a mistake tonight..... Perry hammered him on healthcare and a comment that was in his first book and was removed for the second edition. Mitt bet him $10K he was wrong..... Joe 6-pack ain't gonna make a bet like that.

In closing - I absolutely agree with the ABC talking heads - Romney needed to give Newt a knock-out punch and he didn't even come close.  While Newt started out on defense, he quickly turned the debate into one where his strengths showed.  He stood firm on his beliefs, his record and his recent comments.

One of the ABC guys went to far as to say Newt would get the party nod after tonight's performance.

MORE THOUGHTS ON NEWT….

I have followed the Republican political season probably as closely as anyone around.  We do not, now WILL we, have the perfect candidate to go up against Obama, so anyone looking for that should get their head out of the…. clouds.  Who in their right mind would be willing to go through the anal exam (as Rush says) that our side has to go through simply for running – and you ain’t seen nothing until a candidate is CHOSEN.

Accepting that all our candidates are flawed…. my biggest gripe is not the press admittedly attacking our people – we all knew this would happen.  My problem is MY SIDE – people who are supposedly Republicans attacking our people!  You have to hand it to the Democrats – they will circle the wagons, but not us!  The Republican ‘elite’ – whoever that is – still thinks we can be loved and admired by the media, still believes that Conservatism as a philosophy won’t sell to the masses.  These are the people who gave us McCain, and who are hell bent to repeat that by forcing Romney down our throats.

I, for one, am ready to tell them to fuck off!  I’ve watched our candidates rise and fall; I’ve posted videos of Carl Rove attacking EVERY SINGLE CANDIDATE for their faults – STFU, Carl!

My guy has ALWAYS been Gingrich.  And now that he’s making headway, all his former colleagues are jumping on the bandwagon, saying he’s not a good leader.  THIS IS THE MAN WHO LED THE REPUBLICAN PARTY OUT OF THE ABYSS OF 40 YEARS OF DEMOCRAT GOVERNANCE IN 1994!  They say he thinks out loud.  The operative word is ‘THINKS’.  Hello!  WE NEED new ideas to bring America back from a real abyss.  These same people wrote Newt off last summer when his staff started jumping ship. LOOK WHERE HE IS NOW – with little or no organization, certainly little mainline party support – he’s in first place and rising‼‼

Newt has personal baggage.  I hate infidelity – but his lifestyle is NOT for me to judge – I believe there is a far higher power than I for that.  I’ve come to the place now where my conclusion is – if Clinton didn’t bother the left, why should I pass judgment on the one person I think can save this country because of his personal baggage.  NEWT KNOWS WHO THE ENEMY IS, AND THAT ENEMY LIVES IN THE WHITE HOUSE!  His detractors say Newt can’t stay focused.  Well I’ll tell you what – he has been focused on this enemy since DAY 1 – while the others were nit-picking at each other, Newt has been slamming Obama’s record and pointing out everything Obama’s done that’s hurt this nation, both here and abroad.  If that’s not being focused, then I’ll take not focused.
Newt knows history – he TAUGHT it and there are people who’ve sat in his classes, unlike the president, who supposedly taught Constitutional law [ed. Note:  ROFLMAO] and I’ve yet to see a testimonial from anyone in his class or even on the faculty with him.

Newt is probably the best extemporaneous speaker in public life today – and if he’s the candidate, he will be up against the WORSE extemporaneous speaker in the history of politics.  That alone would be worth the price of admission.
I know he’s flip-flopped on issues…. Who hasn’t?  At least he admits to the mistakes, rather than doing the Romney wiggle, or defining the meaning of ‘is’.

And my final mantra…. 2012 is about the judges.  Those of you who read my mess have heard this repeatedly.  Four sitting Supremes born in the 30’s.  FOUR!  Obama has placed two gems on the court already (one to get the Latino vote and one to keep Obamacare from being overturned).  Can this country afford any more like that?

Newt can win.  He’s the only one that CAN.  If you think he’s not a conservative, look who he said he’s put at State – JOHN BOLTON!  OMG – the liberals’ heads will spin.

Focus?  Yes.  Ideas?  Hell yes.  Leadership?  Depends on your definition.  I’m down with a man who has ideas and can then delegate someone to carry them through.

NEWT CAN BEAT OBAMA!  Why start believing the MSM now????  We know where they stand.  We know how they do polling to get the answer they want.  Are we going to let them pick our candidate – AGAIN?  Are we going to let those who gave us Bob Dole and John McCain force Mitt Romney down our throats?

Wake UP, my friends.  It’s time to fish or cut bait….

WARRING SPEAKERS

Nancy Pelosi is saying she has dirt on Newt, stemming from an ethics probe in the 90’s that had to do with a history course Newt taught.  She says ‘when the time is right’, she’ll divulge the information.  If this isn’t political blackmail, I don’t know what is.

I would also think that Mrs. Pelosi would be opening a Pandora’s Box of Congressional dirt that would take out people equally on both sides of the aisle.  Somehow I can’t see her caucus allowing this, but then – the left will do anything to win – even commits crimes, as we’ve all seen.

OBAMA SPOKESMAN SLAMS ISRAEL....

The U.S. ambassador to Belgium, Howard Gutman, [who was a major fundraiser for President Obama’s 2008 election campaign, who bundled $500,000 for Obama, and who personally gave at least $2,300 to the campaign] recently told a conference HOSTED BY the European Jewish Union that Israel is to blame for growing anti-Semitism harbored by people of Muslim faith.

Not a lot of money for an ambassadorship…. and a cheap mouthpiece for Obama.

MORMONS AND BLACK SKIN

I read an editorial a few days ago suggesting a reason the MSM and the White House want to run against Romney - and it has everything to do with playing the race card.  While people of African descent have always been able to be members of the LDS, it was only as recently as 1978 that the Church permitted them to enter the priesthood.

Read this link..... while I don't think Obama's people would directly call Romney a racist, by attacking his religion and it's history with black Americans, the inference that he's a racist would be very easy, particularly since few know the history of LDS and it's teachings.

Having said that, it certainly didn't matter about Obama's 20-year involvement with an anti-American pastor, but then - McCain was unwilling to attack Obama on his associations.  The left WOULD NOT HESITATE to attack Romney, even indirectly, for his associations.

WHEN WILL BARACK OBAMA FINALLY REACH THE BOTTOM OF THE BARREL?

This is an excerpt from a fund-raising email signed 'Barack'.... it's about a raffle to win a chance to have dinner with him.  Frankly I'm shocked he didn't include his on-line campaign STORE link, where you can do your Christmas shopping  [ http://store.barackobama.com/ ] ... does anyone besides me find this disgusting?

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

...If you win a seat at the next dinner with three other supporters and me, you’ll get to bring a guest.
I thought I’d bring one, too — so I invited Michelle.
She’s in.
Donate $3 or whatever you can to be automatically entered to sit down for a meal with Michelle and me.
Michelle and I don’t get to spend as much time as we’d like with the people who are building the 2012 campaign.
